Camp Safety Protocols
The following are safety protocols that will be followed at FBF this summer. These protocols are based on Guidelines from the State of Massachusetts. Any questions please email Erin at erinfbf@gmail.com
1. CHECK IN
-
There will be a single point of entry to camp.

All campers will have a temperature check before entering camp with a non-touch hospital grade thermometer.

Screening questions and a visual inspection will be held regarding any symptoms a child has had in the past 24 hours.

Temperature checks will be recorded and remain on file.

Parents must wear masks when on the premises and during drop off and pick up.
2. PHYSICAL DISTANCING

Physical distancing will be encouraged at all times.

Camp activities will be held outdoors as much as possible.

FBF will be setting up outside stations for traditional camp activities.
3. GROUP NUMBERS

Campers will never be in groups larger than 10 (in our case most campers will be in a group of 4 or 5) and they will remain with the same staff throughout the camp session. The only exception to this will be staff that teaches the riding lessons will work with all campers but with a mask or with social distancing.
4. MASKS
-
Each camper must have a mask with them for camp.
-
STAFF – will wear a mask when social distancing is not possible.

PARENTS – will wear a mask at pick up and drop off.

CHILDREN – when possible and AT THE DISCRECTION OF THE PARENT children will be encouraged to wear masks when they can not socially distance.

Everyone will wear masks inside the barn.

In accordance to the State “exceptions to the use of face masks or coverings include but are not limited to children under two, children who have difficulty breathing with the face covering, and individuals who are unable to wear a face covering safely due to a behavioral health diagnosis or an intellectual impairment.“
5. SNACK

All campers MUST bring snack from home – FBF will NOT be providing any snack

FBF will have water available but encourages all campers to bring their own LABELED water bottle.
6. ​POTENTIAL EXPOSURE

FBF will follow isolation and discharge protocols for sick children and adults.

A separate space will be designated for isolation and required parties will be notified.
-
NO CAMPER OR STAFF MEMBER SHOULD COME TO CAMP IF THEY HAVE ANY SYMPTOMS OR ARE NOT FEELING WELL.

7. CLEANING, SANITIZING AND DISINFECTING

FBF will be cleaning and sanitizing all common areas throughout the day.

Horses will be ridden using rubber reins which will be disinfected after each rider.

Riders are encouraged to ride in gloves.
-
Hand washing will be encouraged throughout the day.
-
Hand sanitizer will be available for staff and campers.
